Sarah Haiyaat
Ridgeback Student Voices Assistant
Faculty of Social Science & Humanities
Hi there, my name is Sarah! I am a fourth-year Criminology and Justice major with a Criminal Justice specialization and a minor in
Forensic Psychology. Through my academic journey, I have gained a wealth of knowledge I enjoy sharing through my articles. My writing often draws from my experiences, such as my time throughout university, dealing with graduation anxiety, my study habits, my experience as a working student, and being in a long-distance relationship, etc.!
As a writer, my main objective is to provide advice and pointers to people going through a similar situation or looking for assistance throughout their university years. One of the key objectives of the Ridgeback Student Voices is to help others feel less isolated, more supported, and connected, and by sharing my own personal experiences, I can do just that!
Aside from my academic pursuits, I am passionate about learning about different cultures, holidays, and religions. I believe in acceptance and enjoy writing about various topics because it allows me to broaden my knowledge and understanding of the world around me. So, whether you want to learn how to navigate university life or learn about a new and exciting topic, I'm here to share my experiences and insights with you! I hope my articles provide helpful information and a sense of comfort and enjoyment.
