How to apply for general bursaries

What are bursaries?
Bursaries are available to students who demonstrate financial need and are a form of financial aid that does not need to be repaid! [1]
How do I know if I’m eligible to apply for a bursary?
You can find a donor award which is organized by degree type, faculty, and year of study. By narrowing down your search, you can then go through the list of award results and read further into each of the requirements.
Make a list
It’d be a good idea to make a list of the awards that you meet the eligibility requirements of! This can be dependent on [2]:
- Your program
- Membership in various organizations
Complete a General Bursary and Donor Award application
Keep a lookout for the General Bursary and Donor Award applications to open up on MyCampus in August. More information about deadlines and submission requirements will be released then!

Bursaries may be available through various external institutions!
Places of employment
Some bursaries or scholarships can be awarded based on employment or through a parent’s job. It’d be worthwhile to look into whether this option is available to you!
