School is not a lone journey; Ontario Tech has many resources that can help students throughout their academic and personal journeys. Getting familiar with and aware of these resources is important if you ever need access to them. Though there are many more resources outside of the ones mentioned in this blog, here are a few helpful campus resources to know as a student.

Academic Advising

Academic Advising aims to support students in their studies so they can navigate their university journey confidently. Each faculty has its own dedicated advising team that they can seek and advisors specifically for first-year students. Advisors can provide one-on-one guidance on various matters such as course selection, program requirements, academic policies, and so much more. The team is there to help you make any appropriate academic or career decisions and achieve your educational goals! With the support of Academic Advising, you will be on track to achieve success.

Campus Health & Wellness Centre

Your physical and mental health is important; with Campus Health and Wellness Centre, your well-being is supported and prioritized. The center offers various services such as medical care, wellness programs, and physiotherapy services, where you can find help for your health needs. With a diverse group ranging from physicians to administrative staff, the Campus Health and Wellness Centre ensures students stay healthy and balanced through their university journey!

Career Centre

Worried about your future career? With the help of the Career Centre, you will not have to face this next step alone. The center is a beneficial resource for students and alumni, offering resume building, job, co-op, internship search assistance, and career counselling. Through any point of your academic journey, the Career Centre offers the appropriate tools and guidance needed to transition into the workforce and achieve your professional goals seamlessly.

IT Services

With technology being such a useful tool in university, knowing how much help you can receive with any technical difficulties or questions is important. IT Services can assist you with your university accounts, software, and hardware issues and provide access to digital resources. Available to troubleshoot technical problems and many more, IT Services ensures students have the technology support they need to thrive.

Student Mental Health Services

Your mental health is important; knowing the resources available to you should you need them is vital. Through the Student Mental Health Services, your mental well-being is supported and taken seriously. The services provide workshops, counsellors ready to listen, self-help resources, and many more. The team is there to provide the mental health guidance and support you need as you navigate university.
