Top four places to cry at the North campus location

Nap Pods - Centre for Collaborative Education
The new Durham College Centre for Collaborative Education is the newest addition to the North location. It’s especially great because it has dedicated spots where students can take a nap between or after classes. The nap pods are also great if you want to cry but don’t want too many people to know that you’re crying. Just make sure to keep it quiet because some people are actually taking naps there.

Fireside Reading Room – Library
Grab a coffee and head to the Fireside Reading Room on the second floor of the library. Once there, grab a chair and have a seat beside the floor to ceiling windows. You can now slowly sip your coffee and cry while looking out of the window. Bonus points if it’s raining because it elevates the whole cinematic feel of crying here. You can also grab a book and read away your tears.

Your Professor’s Office
Ok, you’ve failed your midterms and we all know you aren’t going to change your study habits to do better in class, so what now? Go look at your midterms during your professor’s office hours and cry. This is a great way to introduce yourself to the professor for the first time, who has probably never seen you before because you haven’t been going to his lectures. They probably won’t bump your 37% up to an 85%, but at least they’ll know you care about your marks enough to go see them. Bonus points if after all the crying you realize that you’re in the wrong room and they aren’t your professor.
Any bus that comes to the bus loop
Go to the bus loop and sit in whichever bus has a window seat available. Put on your headphones, play some sad music, look outside the window, and cry your woes away. This one is similar to the Fireside Reading Room because it also has a cinematic appeal. You can pretend you’re in the music video for a sad song. Just like the Fireside Reading Room, bonus points if it’s raining. The bus will probably loop and drop you back on campus after 45 minutes and you can continue on with your day.

Jokes apart, there are resources available on campus to help you and assist you during times of high mental and physical stress.
