Romanticize your life

July 29, 2025

Lately, I’ve been trying to romanticize my life, not in a fake way, but in a way that makes me enjoy the little things more. Life can feel so routine and heavy sometimes, and I realized I wanted to shift that energy, and I know simple things can make me happy.

One of the first things I did was redo my room. I made it pink and cozy, and honestly, it changed everything. It feels like my own little bubble now, somewhere I actually want to be, like my little sanctuary. I also got myself cute, comfy pyjamas and started putting more love into my night routine. Things like skincare, face masks, and especially eye masks just make me feel good. I know it sounds small, but it makes a difference.

Other things that helped me romanticize my everyday life:

  • Going on walks without any headphones, just listening to everything around me

  • Making different coffee drinks to keep things exciting, like caramel iced coffee, vanilla lattes, etc!

  • Lighting candles at night, even if I’m just doing laundry

  • Taking myself on solo dates, like going on a walk or grabbing a little treat

  • Dress up for no reason, even if you're staying home

  • Use perfume, even if no one's around but you

  • Take long showers or baths and treat them like a spa moment

Taking care of myself like this has helped me slow down and feel more present. And I think that’s what romanticizing your life really is about. It’s not about being extra or dramatic, it’s just about turning regular moments into something a little more beautiful.
