Get involved this semester
January 8, 2026
Now that you’ve become more familiar with university life, why not enhance your student experience by getting involved on campus through societies and leadership opportunities? These are wonderful ways to meet new people, explore your interests, and experience personal and professional growth.
Here are just a few ways you can get involved this semester.
Join Your Faculty’s Society
This is a great way to meet and make new friends with those who are in your program and faculty. Societies often host events that provide opportunities for involvement while creating a fun space for members to connect and build meaningful relationships. Find your society on the Ontario Tech Student Union (OTSU) website.
Join, or start, a Club
Enjoy the company of those who share similar passions by joining a club of your choice. Whether you enjoy craft making, indulging in cultural activities, or voicing your passions, there is something for everyone. Acquire new skills and discover hidden talents, all while making new connections. Can’t seem to find a club that interests you? Start one!
Ambassador Program
The Ambassador Program provides leadership opportunities and is a great way to explore and participate in campus activities. Furthermore, it allows for both personal and professional growth, the development of new skills, and the chance to network with students from various faculties.
Leadership Positions
Each year, the university recruits for various leadership positions, which are a great way to develop your personal and professional skills, and each can be added to your Student Experience Record to demonstrate your co-curricular involvement and highlight your transferable skills that will be an asset in your professional industry. Below are just a few of the positions currently offered!
