Scary Movies That Are Actucally Scary

Halloween is right around the corner! I love getting into the spooky environment and watching scary movies, even as someone who doesn't necessarily celebrate Halloween. So, I decided to compile a list of movies I found scary AND good! Because, in my experience, scary movies don't really have a plot and can get boring, but these movies, in my opinion, are the best of both worlds. So here are 5 movies that are worth watching… if you dare.

1. Dabbe 4

This Turkish horror movie isn't just jump scares; it gives you a sense of uneasiness and just overall fear. If you ask people who have watched this movie, I know they will agree with me and say this movie is ACTUALLY scary; it might have you messed up for a few days. DON'T WATCH THIS ALONE.

2. The Conjuring 

Classic haunted house terror at its finest. Plus, the true story angle makes it scarier than your average movie.

 Dolls are creepy enough, and this doll is also real AND was being moved just this summer...

4. Smile

If you don't really get scared by the supernatural, this movie will make your stomach turn. This one gets under your skin with its uncanny, unsettling imagery and the way it plays on human fear of…well, smiling faces that shouldn’t be smiling. This is a great movie to watch with your friends, but you'll still jump at every creak and crack you hear in the house.

5. Talk to Me

If you're into supernatural horror with a twist, this is the movie for you. The entire concept is deeply unsettling, yet it keeps you engaged every second. You'll definitely find yourself thinking about what might be lurking in the dark long after the credits roll.
