My Guide for How to Dress as a Hijabi in Summer
July 24, 2025
Let’s be real, summer as a hijabi is a whole experience. Between the heat, humidity, and trying to stay comfortable and covered, it can feel like a mission. Since I have been a hijabi for years now, I’ve figured out what works for me and what just makes me sweat for no reason. So here’s my guide as a seasoned hijabi 🧕
1. Linen Pants ☀️
Linen pants are that girl. They're breathable, light, and still give modest coverage since they are loose. I usually go for wide-leg ones in light colours like white, beige, or pastels because they reflect heat.
🌟TIP: I would shop in person for these pants because they CAN be see-through!

2. Long Shirts So I Don’t Have to Layer 👕
I can’t be bothered to double-layer in the summer (like a flannel on top of a shirt). I’ve found that just buying longer, looser shirts that cover everything on their own is a lifesaver. No need to wear two tops or do weird tucking tricks. Just throw it on and go.

3. Dresses and Flowy Skirts 👗
Summer is made for dresses and skirts, and hijabis can 100% rock them. I opt for flowy maxi dresses with sleeves or flowy skirts paired with a tucked-in blouse. It's breezy and makes me feel super cute without compromising modesty. Also… less fabric sticking to your legs? Yes please.
🌟TIP: I never wear tights underneath my dresses anymore. I wear loose pants since no one should even see them anyway!

4. Modal Hijabs 🧕
Listen, modal hijabs are worth the hype! They’re soft, lightweight, breathable, and they stay put. I used to wear chiffon all the time but in the summer it just felt too stiff and hot. Modal gives me that light feeling without sliding off every 2 seconds. And it's so cute!

5. The Taj Hijab Crown?... Actually Worth It 👑
I was super skeptical about the Taj Hijab Crown at first, like, why am I paying $95? But I finally got one, and let me tell you, it actually works! It gives my hijab structure and shape without having to stuff a whole scrunchie bun in there. And it’s comfy! I wear it every day now. Plus, it also helps with hair loss and airflow, so yeah, I recommend it.

I hope this guide helps! Remember, you are beautiful even when you are covered 💗Also, one last tip: carry a portable fan, they do come in handy.
